1. Who We Are

CPG Service and Supplies (Pty) Ltd (registration 2017/154026/07) is a Cape Town civil engineering construction company based in Eerste River, Western Cape. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean CPG Service & Supplies, and “you” means anyone who visits this website, sends us an enquiry or works with us.

We are the responsible party for your personal information under POPIA. You can reach us about anything in this policy at [email protected].

2. What We Collect

When You Send an Enquiry

Whether you use the form on this website, email, phone or WhatsApp, we receive your name, company, phone number and email address, the site location, a description of the work, and any files you send, such as drawings, a bill of quantities or site photos.

When We Work Together

For quotations, contracts, invoices and site records we keep the contact details of the people we deal with, along with company, billing and project information.

When You Visit the Website

Our web server records technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, browser and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working. We do not use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies. The site sets one session cookie so the enquiry form can protect itself against spam.

3. Why We Use It

• To reply to your enquiry, visit the site and prepare a quotation.
• To plan, carry out and invoice the work, and keep the records the law requires.
• To keep this website secure and stop abuse of the enquiry form.

We rely on your consent when you send an enquiry, on our contract with you once work is agreed, and on our legal obligations for tax and health and safety records.

4. Who We Share It With

We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with:

• the services that run our business: our email provider (Microsoft 365) and the hosting and email delivery services behind this website (Amazon Web Services);
• engineers, suppliers or subcontractors working on your project, where they need the details to do their part;
• our accountants and auditors, and authorities where the law requires it.

5. Information Sent Outside South Africa

Some of the services above store or process information outside South Africa. For example, emails from the enquiry form are sent through Amazon’s email service in the European Union. We only use providers that are bound by data protection laws or agreements giving protection at least as strong as POPIA.

6. How Long We Keep It

• Enquiries that do not lead to work: deleted within 12 months.
• Quotations, contracts and invoices: kept for five years, as tax law requires.
• Website server logs: deleted after about two weeks.

7. Keeping It Safe

This website runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Files sent through the enquiry form are stored outside the public part of the website, where they cannot be reached from the internet. The form is protected against spam and automated abuse.

If we ever have reason to believe your information has been accessed without permission, we will tell you and the Information Regulator as soon as reasonably possible, as POPIA requires.

8. Your Rights

Under POPIA you can ask whether we hold information about you and for a copy of it, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, withdraw your consent, and complain to the Information Regulator.

To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will reply within 30 days and may ask you to confirm who you are first.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the way we work changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
